Sydney Water’s contractor, RMP Abrasive Blasting, is refurbishing the water reservoir on Wongawilli Road, Wongawilli. This work is part of Sydney Water’s reservoir maintenance program and will maintain the reliability of the water supply system.
Work is scheduled to commence on Monday 13 November 2017, and will take approximately four weeks to complete. Works are expected to finish by mid-December 2017, weather permitting.
Work hours will be 7 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday, and 8 am to 1 pm on Saturdays. No work is planned on Sundays or public holidays.
The work will involve:
- Cleaning and spot repainting the outside of the reservoir
- Minor repairs to the roof and roof structures.
This work will not affect water services.
During the work, residents may notice an increase in noise, and vehicle and construction equipment movement around the work site. A slight paint smell may also be noticeable. All sheds and equipment will be stored within the reservoir’s fenced area.
Sydney Water and RMP Abrasive Blasting will make every effort to minimise any disruption to residents.
Affected residents and the local council have also been notified about the work.
