Member for Shellharbour Anna Watson attended a public rally of Ageing Disability and Home Care workers at Albion Park this afternoon.
Ms Watson has been a vocal critic against any move by the State Government to close down the Dapto Respite Centre.
The Minister for Disability Services, John Ajaka, clarified the future of the Dapto Respite Centre in a letter to Ms Watson last month.
“I am committed to ensuring that people with a disability and their families in my electorate have access to quality, affordable care.
“I’ve been holding the Minister for Disability Services accountable for the future of the Dapto Respite Centre.
“I also want to make certain that with the introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme, no person with a disability falls through any cracks in the system”, Ms Watson said.
