Applications are now open under the Local Sport Grant program where incorporated, not-for-profit sporting clubs can share in up to $50,000 in available funding in the Shellharbour electorate, Member for Shellharbour, Anna Watson said today.

Incorporated, not-for-profit sporting clubs can apply for funding under the following categories:

  • Sport Club Development (maximum of $2,000 funding)
  • Community Sport Events (maximum of $5,000 funding)
  • Sport Access) maximum of $5,000 funding); and
  • Facility Development and Capital Equipment (maximum $25,000 funding).

Minimum funding grants of $250 for all project categories is available with the exception of the Facility Development and Capital Equipment category where the minimum funding amount is $1,000.

“The Local Sport Grant program has very strict eligibility criteria but there are some very worthwhile funding opportunities available to sporting clubs in the Shellharbour electorate.

“I encourage local clubs to check out whether they have any projects which may be eligible for funding and to lodge an application as soon as possible”, Ms Watson said.
