Anna was raised in a traditional working-class family and strongly believes that every Australian deserves equitable access to education, health, housing and transport services so that they can live a productive and fulfilling life, regardless of where they live, or where they came from.
Anna is an experienced Member of the NSW Parliament, having represented the people of Shellharbour since 2011, fighting hard every day for all residents, both in Parliament and out in the community.
Over the past 12 years Anna has helped save Killalea State Park from development, secured funding for a new Shellharbour Hospital and led a community campaign to stop the building of a jail in West Dapto.
Anna has also introduced a Private Members Bill to criminalise coercive control and secured funding for Women’s Health and Trauma Recovery Centres to support victims of family and domestic violence.
Anna will continue to fight for:
- Fairer funding for our local schools and TAFE;
- Additional facilities at the new Shellharbour Hospital;
- Additional road infrastructure, including entry and exit ramps for the M1 Princes Motorway at Dapto;
- Upgrades to local train stations, more reliable train and bus services and the removal of dangerous level crossings;
- Fairer grant funding for local community facilities, including sporting fields and amenities buildings;
- Additional funding for Women’s Health Centres and a Trauma Recovery Centre for victims of family and domestic violence;
Residents of new suburbs and growth areas, ensuring property developers pay their fair share for new local parks, drainage and footpaths.
