A Minns Labor Government will invest $2 million to improve amenities at Dapto High School, including a new shelter over resurfaced basketball courts, allowing all weather play. Dapto High School is one of very few schools in NSW without a sheltered outdoor area.
The new shelter and resurfaced courts will also act as a Covered Outdoor Learning Area (COLA), providing shade on sunny days and keeping students and teachers dry during wet weather. New screens, lighting, fencing, sound system and a covered walkway will also be included as part of the upgrade.
Anna Watson, Member for Shellharbour, said:
“I am extremely pleased that a Minns Labor Government will fund the construction of a new sheltered outdoor area at Dapto High School. Labor is committed to providing excellent facilities for our local public schools, so that every student has the opportunity to learn and play in a comfortable and safe environment.”
